I’m Dave, better known as Barra. I’ve been running my locally owned business ‘Barra’s Plumbing and Gas’ in the southern suburbs of Perth for 16 years. I’m a family man passionate about providing you with high quality, reliable service at an affordable price.
I’m an Aussie bloke born and bred, and grew up in Katherine, Northern Territory. Working in remote communities of NT taught me to think outside the box, I had to learn to repair as opposed to simply replace. To this day if I can repair your problem rather than replace it, I will. It is important to me that I give my customers good value for their money.
Whilst working in Perth CBD as an assistant to a building engineer I was responsible for maintaining a variety of services including; plumbing, gas, electrical, air conditioning, carpentry and mechanics. This was where I was given the nickname Barra – and it stuck!
I wanted to challenge myself, so in 2003 I made the decision to go out on my own. I knew exactly what to call myself. Barra’s Plumbing and Gas! I haven’t looked back since. I’m still learning every day and you may see me take my 12 year old son, Tom along for the ride. Providing you with efficient, quality and trustworthy service is my priority!
